SARAH’S BESPOKE WEDDING DRESS STORY

Sarah had very specific ideas of what she wanted, she knew the shape, style, the sort of pattern on the lace and the colour. She had had a bespoke dress made for a special occasion before and so knew how the process goes.

When we were arranging a fabric sourcing trip I knew that there was a big textiles fair in Marylebone and that we couldn’t fail to find a fabric that Sarah liked so we arranged to meet there and I showed her around.

Here’s what Sarah said about the process:

“A bit belated, but still So pleased even months after the wedding. Pearl made my wedding dress for a destination wedding in July. She was brilliant throughout the whole process! From our initial meetings to inviting me to a lace fair to pick out the fabric (and being patient with me looking online and off though like 100 lace options), to the final fittings and recommendations for care and transport. I had an idea of what I wanted the dress to be and was quite specific and particular on areas– but then she also gave very helpful input and direction throughout the process to things I wouldn’t have thought to try. in the end, i ended up with a dress I was very proud of and had SUCH amazing reviews. I know that everyone always compliments the bride, but I felt like the dress got a lot of love. Overall, the process of making my own dress and the high quality/craftmanship at which Pearl did it made for a very beautiful experience for our wedding.”
